We aim to have dessert available every night with the addition of one hot food vendor on Friday and Saturday nights.
  • Is this a good activity for children, elderly people or people with reduced mobility?
This is an outdoor event set in bushland. Although we have done our best to make the walking trails as accessible as possible, we advise you to consider if this trail walk suits you. There may be uneven and wet ground, making it difficult for those with mobility issues or people with prams not designed for off-road use. Please dress accordingly and wear appropriate footwear. Please consider the Kiss and Drop and Accessible Parking options shown in the map below as the path from general parking involves a steep hill, approximately 250m long.
  • Is the trail wheelchair accessible?
The show is set in natural bushland, with uneven terrain approximately 1.5kms long. The surfaces include mulch, grass, soil and rocks at times. The track has a slope (crossfall) with slight to moderate changes in gradient and no steps. The grassed area near the accessible carpark is mostly flat and there will be some installations to view from that point, prior to entering the fire trail. This grassed area doesn’t require a ticket. We recognise that the trail may be difficult for those with mobility aids. Please utilise the Accessible Parking option shown in the map.
  • Can we experience The Enchanted Forest with prams?
Be aware that the show is set in a natural bush setting. We recommend off-road style prams to go over uneven terrain throughout the walking trail. Please consider dropping off at the Kiss and Drop zone.
  • Do you accept Companion Cards?
Yes, please bring your Companion Card along with your purchased ticket, and we will be happy to admit your carer or companion, free of charge, at the gate.
  • What do I wear?
The entire experience is set amongst the forest and the ground may be uneven so please wear warm, comfortable clothing, enclosed footwear and don’t forget a rain jacket or umbrella if it looks like you’ll need it.
  • What happens if it's raining?
The Enchanted Forest will go ahead in the event of rain or wind, so check the weather forecast and dress appropriately; be sure to bring a rain jacket and/or an umbrella. Encouragingly, any drizzle on a given night would provide visitors with a unique experience because it creates another medium upon which the lasers and lights reflect. If the weather presents a risk to safety, for example, a severe storm, we reserve the right to close The Enchanted Forest, in order to ensure the safety of our staff and visitors. The decision will be made to cancel the show by 4 pm on the day. Cancellation: If we need to cancel certain time schedules, an email and/or SMS will be sent to all ticket holders. A notification will also be posted on our Facebook page. Guests can reschedule their visit by following the directions in the supplied email.
  • If I am unable to attend, can I reschedule the visit or be refunded?
Due to the limited number of sessions, we can not offer refunds. However, you can attend at another time, and we will honour the purchase provided that you reschedule at least 48 hours prior to your booked session time. We want everyone to have the chance to experience this magical journey! You can reschedule your booking from the ticketing link sent to your nominated email address. Rescheduling must take place at least 48 hours prior to your booked session time. If you try to reschedule within 48 hours of your booked session time, you will not be able to.
  • My booking includes several people, should we all arrive at the same time?
We recommend that your party arrive at the same time, however entry can be made separately, if your party members have access to the tickets as well.
  • Can I take pictures and videos?
Please! We're even having a photo competition for a fantastic prize on our Instagram page. Pro tip! Turn off the flash in your photos and check out some amazing images submitted with the tag #LunaLightJourneys to get a head start on creative ideas.
  • Are restrooms available?
Yes, restrooms are available at the venue.
  • Do babies need a ticket?
No, bring the whole family along! Children between 0-3 years old are free of charge. Children aged 4+ will require a valid "Child" ticket for entry.
  • Can I bring animals?
Domestic pets, including dogs (other than those registered to assist a visually impaired person), are not permitted in the Gardens.
  • Will the lights affect nature?
Our priority is minimising harm to the trees, plants and animals within Blackbutt Forest. We have specially designed installation devices and methodologies that enable the lights to hang from the trees without harming them. We also encourage our community to stay on the guided pathways to minimise damage to the surrounding foliage.
  • How have we considered the flora and fauna at Blackbutt Forest Reserve in the creation of this event?
Through the creation of this event, we have strove to minimise any impacts to flora and fauna as much as we can. Blackbutt Forest is home to a maternal camp of Grey-Headed Flying Fox, and we have located the event as far away from their resting place during the day as possible. We’ll also be utilising exiting pathways to minimise impact. The event will impact approximately five hours of darkness, so will still provide night time hours for nocturnal animals to forage. As Blackbutt is big enough, it is considered that there is space for nocturnal animals to continue to forage away from the lights and pedestrian flow of the event. Through the planning of the event we have identified every possible way to minimise impacts to our nocturnal animals whilst still allowing the community to enjoy the Forest in a different way.
  • Will there be flashing lights in the show?
Yes, specific installations contain flashing lights. If you, or anyone in your family, have an epileptic condition, please consult your doctor before attending.
